In the autumn of 1999, Transparency International-Bulgaria initiated the implementation of its own regional programme, which had as its main goal to facilitate dialogue among representatives of the non-government sector in South-East Europe by the transfer of expertise and training in specific anti-corruption action techniques within civil society.
The main goals and priorities of the Programme are as follows:

• Build up the international prestige of Transparency International-Bulgaria as a leading non-government organisation in the field of anti-corruption initiatives on a regional scale;
• Initiate a regional network of third-sector representatives sharing and working in support of the anti-corruption initiative in South-East Europe;
• Develop regional projects of its own

• Training Seminar in Anti-corruption Techniques for Southeast Europe


• International Capacity-Building Workshop in Anti-corruption Techniques for NGOs from the Former Communist Countries


• Monitoring the Reconstruction Process in Southeast Europe


• Training of Albanian NGO Representatives in Anti-corruption Techniques
